Laser therapy with an individual approach
K-Laser is a non-invasive therapeutic laser that may be selected as part of your animal’s veterinary rehabilitation programme.
At Perfect Balance Animal Clinic in Abu Dhabi, treatment starts with understanding the individual patient. Laser therapy can then be considered alongside hands-on care, therapeutic exercise and appropriate veterinary treatment.
We focus on clear rehabilitation goals, careful treatment planning and ongoing review.
UNDERSTANDING THE TREATMENT
How K-Laser works
K-Laser delivers visible and near-infrared light to selected tissues, using a technique known as photobiomodulation.
Wavelength, power, frequency and dose are selected for the individual animal, the tissue being addressed and the clinical goal. There is no single protocol for every patient.
TREATMENT OPTIONS
Where K-Laser may fit in the plan
Suitability and expected response depend on the animal, condition and treatment plan. Explore the areas you can discuss with our team.
01. Pain management
Discuss whether laser therapy could be a useful addition to your animal’s existing pain-management plan.
02. Inflammation and swelling
The team assesses the cause and location of swelling before deciding whether laser therapy is suitable.
03. Muscle and soft-tissue recovery
Treatment may be considered within a broader recovery plan following exercise, injury or overload.
04. Tendon and ligament rehabilitation
For selected tendon and ligament cases, laser therapy may be considered alongside appropriate exercise and veterinary management.
05. Joint conditions
An option to discuss within multimodal management of osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease.
06. Wounds and post-operative rehabilitation
Suitability depends on the wound or surgical site and the veterinary plan. Benefit and response vary.
