CARE BUILT AROUND YOUR ANIMAL

MagnaWave, as part of a personalised plan

At Perfect Balance Animal Clinic in Abu Dhabi, we use the MagnaWave Semi 10 to deliver pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) sessions for horses and small animals.

Following assessment, PEMF may be included in a wider rehabilitation programme alongside manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and appropriate veterinary care.

Your animal’s needs, comfort and rehabilitation goals guide the plan.

UNDERSTANDING THE TREATMENT

How MagnaWave works

PEMF uses a changing electromagnetic field. An applicator is positioned on or near the area being addressed; direct skin contact is not necessarily required.

Your clinician selects the attachment, treatment area and settings around the animal and the rehabilitation goals. A response is assessed as part of the overall care plan.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

Where MagnaWave may fit in the plan

Suitability and expected response depend on the animal, condition and treatment plan. Explore the areas you can discuss with our team.

01. Musculoskeletal comfort and recovery

Discuss whether PEMF may have a supportive role in an individual plan for musculoskeletal discomfort and recovery following injury.

02. Comfort and pain management

A possible adjunct within a wider veterinary pain-management plan. Suitability and response are assessed for the individual patient.

03. Inflammatory conditions

The underlying diagnosis, the device and the available evidence guide whether PEMF should be considered.

04. Post-exercise recovery

PEMF may be considered within a wider recovery plan. Faster recovery or improved performance should not be assumed.

05. Relaxation and muscle comfort

Some animals appear relaxed during a session. Comfort and function are reviewed over time, rather than judging progress from relaxation alone.

06. Older-animal mobility and post-operative rehabilitation

A potential addition to appropriate veterinary treatment, therapeutic exercise and regular monitoring.

07. General recovery and wellbeing

A possible supportive role within an individual rehabilitation programme, rather than a treatment for an underlying disease.
